Mechanical Designer / HVAC Drafting Engineer (Remote – Philippines)

Contract / Part-Time → Ongoing Opportunity

About the Role
Hyve Designs is seeking a Mechanical Designer / Drafting Engineer to support HVAC and building services projects in Australia.

This role is focused on producing drawings, layouts, and documentation based on direction from senior engineers. You will work closely with our team to develop mechanical designs for refurbishment and upgrade projects.

Key Responsibilities
✓ Prepare HVAC layouts, ductwork drawings, and equipment plans
✓ Assist in developing mechanical design documentation
✓Produce drawings for construction using AutoCAD / Revit
✓ Update and revise drawings based on markups and engineer feedback
✓ Coordinate basic services layouts with other disciplines

What We’re Looking For
✓ Experience in mechanical drafting / HVAC design support
✓ Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit
✓ Understanding of HVAC systems (ducts, exhaust, equipment layouts)
✓ Ability to follow instructions and produce accurate drawings
✓ Good communication and responsiveness

Nice to Have
✓ Experience working on international (US / AU / UK) projects
✓ Basic understanding of ventilation systems
✓ Experience working with consultants or contractors

Important Note
This role is focused on design support and drafting, with all engineering decisions and compliance handled by senior engineers.
