Last week, Leanne and I headed to Brisbane for two days of education, networking and professional development. We were attending the Leica Futures Forum, supported by Leica and, of course, the great team at CR Kennedy. We thought it would be 60% social and 40% business, how wrong were we!

3D Scanning captures the complex geometry of existing products, equipment and parts that enables engineers to:

Make iterative improvements.
Reverse engineer legacy parts that lack CAD models.
Create a mesh for additive manufacturing from an existing object without taking the time to create a model from scratch.
