Today we were proud to welcome the crew from the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service to the Alfabs workshops to recognise an incredible milestone in our long-standing partnership.

Over the past 25 years, Alfabs employees have contributed more than $100,000 through workplace giving, alongside $556,000 in company donations and community initiatives supporting this vital service.

The Westpac Rescue Helicopter plays a critical role across regional NSW, providing emergency aeromedical response and critical care when communities need it most. Many of us working in heavy industry, construction, transport and regional operations understand just how important this service is to workers, families and local communities.

This milestone reflects the generosity of our people, the commitment of our leadership team, and the strong community values that continue to shape Alfabs.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed over the years and to the Westpac helicopter crew for taking the time to visit the workshop today. It was a great opportunity for our team to see firsthand the impact this service has across our region.

Today marks World Day for Safety and Health at Work 2026 🌏

This year’s focus highlights something just as important as physical safety: psychosocial health in the workplace.

At Alfabs Group, we recognise that a safe workplace goes beyond physical hazards. Factors like workload, support, communication, and workplace culture all play a role in our people’s wellbeing. Psychosocial hazards can impact both mental and physical health if not properly managed.

Creating a healthy work environment means identifying these risks, having open conversations, and taking action to support our teams. This reflects one of our core values, Accountability. Taking ownership of our actions and following through to ensure safe and healthy outcomes for everyone.

We also take a moment today to acknowledge Workers’ Memorial Day, a time to remember those who have lost their lives due to workplace injury, illness, or disease. We honour them with respect and reflect on the importance of continuing to improve safety for everyone.

Today, we pause to honour the courage, sacrifice and legacy of the men and women who have served our nation. On ANZAC Day, we remember those who gave so much in the service of others, and we acknowledge all current and former servicemen and servicewomen whose dedication continues today.

Their values of resilience, mateship, commitment and service remain deeply respected across Australian workplaces and communities.

𝐀𝐥𝐟𝐚𝐛𝐬 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐓𝐌𝐑 𝐌𝐑𝐓𝐒𝟕𝟖 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

We’re proud to announce that Alfabs Engineering Group has successfully achieved certification under the Queensland Transport and Main Roads (TMR) Supplier Registration Scheme for the supply of Fabricated Steelwork (MRTS78).

This certification formally recognises Alfabs as a prequalified fabricator for critical infrastructure, including:

- Primary superstructure elements
- Overhead gantries and signage structures
- Bridge and tunnel components
- Posts, poles and miscellaneous structures

It is a significant milestone that reinforces our capability to deliver high-compliance structural steelwork aligned with stringent government specifications.

The MRTS78 standard governs every aspect of fabrication — from material traceability and welding procedures through to inspection, testing and protective coatings — ensuring the durability and integrity required for major transport infrastructure.
For our clients, this means:

- Verified fabrication capability for TMR projects
- Compliance with one of Australia’s most rigorous steelwork specifications
- Confidence in quality, traceability and delivery
