An incredible result for HVO and the Hunter! 🙌

For J&S, today’s approval carries enormous meaning. HVO has been part of our story for decades, supporting local jobs, apprenticeships and the families behind our business. As we told the commission, the stakes were deeply personal.

This decision brings greater certainty for HVO’s employees, suppliers like us and the communities we call home… Its benefits reach far beyond the mine gates.

To everyone who has worked tirelessly over many years to make this approval possible… thank you. This outcome reflects an enormous collective effort, and the dedication, expertise and persistence of so many people who deserve recognition.

Last week, our GM Kristy spoke directly to the Independent Planning Commission in support of Hunter Valley Operations' continuation — because this decision affects more than one mine site. It affects the jobs, the local businesses, and the broader economic health of the Hunter Valley region that companies like J&S, and hundreds of other suppliers, depend on. We're proud to have added our voice, and we're sharing HVO's campaign because we believe this community deserves the certainty that comes with it.
