Recently, FPAU was approached by a new customer with an urgent breakdown on their Bosich 285-tonne float.

In classic Fluid Power AU fashion, we accepted the challenge and got straight to work.

The repair involved installing a new window, fabricating and installing beefed-up gussets, and repairing the cylinder extension port. With the work completed efficiently, we were able to get the machine back into service and working for the customer with minimal downtime.

A big shout-out to the team at JMG Metco for stepping up to the plate and helping us get this one across the line. It’s always great working alongside businesses that understand the importance of pulling together when the pressure is on.

Another great example of what can be achieved with quick thinking, quality workmanship and strong collaboration — getting critical equipment back to work when it matters.

Parts Specialist – FIFO

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced and motivated Parts Specialist to join our team.

This is a FIFO position from either Darwin or Cairns, with a preferred 4 days on, 3 days off roster. A 7 days on, 7 days off roster may also be considered for the right candidate.

About the Role

The successful candidate will support the efficient management of parts and inventory while working within a busy site environment. This position requires someone who is organised, reliable and comfortable working independently when required.

Key responsibilities may include:

Receiving, checking and storing parts and materials
Picking and issuing parts for site operations
Maintaining accurate inventory and stock records
Completing stocktakes and assisting with inventory control
Entering and updating information in computer systems
Communicating with site personnel, suppliers and other departments
Maintaining a safe, clean and organised work area
About You

The ideal candidate will have:

A current forklift licence
Good computer and data-entry skills
Strong organisational and time-management skills
A proactive attitude and the ability to show initiative
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication and problem-solving skills
A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
Previous experience using SAP or a similar inventory or ERP system is desirable but not essential
Previous experience in parts, warehousing, stores or inventory management is highly regarded

🔹 Source and order parts from suppliers
🔹 Assist with inventory and stock control
