Back when I was just an apprentice I watched my boss drill a hole for a dyno bolt in a concrete slab, he grabbed the bolt and put it in the hole, went for his hammer and it wasn’t there so he turned the drill around and smacked the bolt in with that. I was about a month into my time and when I looked at him he smirked and said “there’s a tool for every job, that’s not the tool for this job but it got the job done, if I catch you doing that with my tools I’ll knock ya teeth out but you understand what I’m saying too ya don’t ya” All you could do is laugh, give him the nod and get on with it. Tradies are a good bunch once you get to know us.

Recently, a client approached us with a recurring issue: the gantry behind the cab had been failing after countless kilometers on remote dirt roads. To tackle this, we rebuilt the structure with 10mm thick plate, up from the previous 6mm, delivering a stronger and more resilient solution.

🚀 Project completed for RGM Maintenance in Darwin!

Boab Fabrication recently completed the fabrication of three custom airport security dog crates for RGM Maintenance to support security operations within a defense base. Built entirely in-house from durable, lightweight aluminum, these crates were designed to meet strict standards and were delivered with a quick turnaround to support critical security needs.

We’re proud to collaborate with RGM Maintenance on projects that contribute to essential defense and security efforts in our region.

This week we had a side tipper come in for repair from the legends at and it was dropped off by big . Our boys got stuck in quick like they always do and got the work done. I cant thank my team enough for the tireless effort they give each day. Thanks again Benny from Bearclaw for trusting us with this work and cheers Jim for getting the dawg into us.

Dont worry we are masters of our craft but from time to time something happens. Not everyone will step up and admit they have ever done something resulting in a bit of rework however here I am on a Friday arvo in all my glory, life is peachy and then on the second last pass of a 20mm fillet 1 hit the f torch. We grind it, reweld it and life goes on,l just laughed when I remembered the camera was still running haha, enjoy legends!! less
