What a weekend of rugby league in Port Moresby!

The clash between the SP PNG Hunters and the Ipswich Jets Rugby League Team in the Hostplus Cup delivered everything you’d expect — intensity, passion, and a thrilling finish, with the Hunters edging out a 26–24 victory in a true neck-and-neck battle.

We were especially proud to see Sun Engineering featured on the front of the Ipswich Jets’ jersey for this special match. A big thank you to The iCARE Group Australia for generously gifting their naming rights position — a gesture that truly reflects the strength of partnerships across the region.

With Sun Engineering proudly operating here in PNG, this moment meant a lot to our team. Supporting rugby league in a country where the sport is deeply embedded in the culture makes it even more meaningful.

Great game, great atmosphere, and a fantastic showcase of rugby league in the Pacific.

Since joining Sun Engineering, Simanibu shares that it has been a great experience learning the ins and outs of the industry and gaining a deeper understanding of how the business operates. He says he is learning something new every day and is excited to continue growing his knowledge in the field.
