In May last year, our teammate Luke Heggie was involved in a serious accident that resulted in a traumatic brain injury.
It was a life-changing event, not only for Luke but also for his family, who were by his side throughout his recovery.

After months of rehabilitation and relentless determination, Luke returned to the Bard team in April, working part time.
Seeing Luke back doing what he enjoys has meant a lot to all of us at Bard.

Luke’s journey is a reminder that recovery takes time, courage and the support of family, friends, workmates and the wider community.
Brain injuries can happen to anyone, but with the right support, people can continue to achieve incredible things.
