Jan Walter from AV Stumpfl perfectly summed up the thinking behind the projection screen comparison wall we built for Mediatech Africa.

Using different Fullwhite profiles across a range of frames, we were able to show how the choice of surface can influence the final image and why screen specification needs to take the wider application into account.

Viewing angles, brightness, contrast, ambient light and the environment all play a part, which is why the screen surface should be considered alongside the projector from the outset.

Last week, our Technical Services Manager Clwyd Jones spent time with the Shenzhen INFiLED Electronics team in Dubai, building his hands-on knowledge of the range.

It’s one thing to understand what a product can do on paper, but it’s another to understand how it goes together, how it should be installed and what to look for when something needs attention.

From repairs and servicing to installation tips and best practice, Clwyd spent time with the people behind the technology and is bringing even more practical knowledge back to the CineAV team, our customers and the projects we support across Africa.

When the first impression says it all... 🤩

The Macropix LED front desk certainly caught plenty of attention at Mediatech Africa.

Designed to welcome visitors with vibrant visuals and a clean, modern finish, it did its job and demonstrated how LED can become part of the environment rather than simply displaying content.

From reception areas, hospitality, retail and customer-facing environments or even as a DJ booth, Front Desk combines striking visuals with an impressive and functional design.

It's simple to run too, simply connect via your phone to upload, change and manage content quickly & efficiently.
