Our latest installations for WeBuyCars in Bloemfontein and East London are another example of how vehicle testing equipment can become an important part of a high-volume vehicle operation.

With more than 13,000 vehicles moving through their business every month, reliable vehicle testing is an essential part of the WeBuyCars operation. From braking performance and axle damping behaviour to toe-in/toe-out testing, these MAHA systems help them assess critical vehicle safety systems as part of their testing process.

From South Africa to the heart of MAHA. 🇿🇦➡️🇩🇪

Recently, two of our technicians had the opportunity to travel to MAHA Germany, the place where it all began. During their visit, they took part in advanced technical training at our headquarters, expanding their knowledge and sharpening their skills alongside the experts behind our technology.

From exploring our manufacturing facilities and gaining hands-on experience with the latest innovations, to visiting iconic museums and experiencing Germany's rich engineering heritage, the trip was an investment in continuous learning, technical excellence, and professional growth.

At MAHA, we believe that staying at the forefront of the industry means learning from the source. The knowledge and experience gained during this visit will strengthen our expertise and, most importantly, allow us to provide even greater support and service to our customers across South Africa.

Zimbabwe keeps on rolling with MAHA 🇿🇼

We recently completed Phase 4 of the supply and commissioning of eleven (11) Roller Brake Testers to Zimbabwe Vehicle Inspection Department (VID) throughout the country.
Phase 4 was the supply of two MBT4250 EUROSYSTEM Roller Brake Testers ( #6 and #7) in Masvingo and Mutare.
These installations enhance the department’s vehicle inspection capabilities by providing accurate, reliable brake testing for trucks, buses, vans and passenger vehicles - supporting safer roads across Zimbabwe.

MAHA South Africa is hiring!

The MAHA Group, headquartered in Bavaria, Germany, is the largest and most recommended manufacturer of roller brake testers and vehicle inspection equipment worldwide. Additionally, MAHA produces a diverse range of car and truck lifting equipment for workshops, along with performance chassis dynamometers for both cars and trucks.

MAHA SEQA (Pty) Ltd, one of 18 subsidiaries of the MAHA Group, is located in Johannesburg, South Africa. This branch supports all MAHA equipment clients throughout Sub-Equator Africa and the West Indian Ocean.

We are currently seeking a 1st language French-speaking Junior Apprentice Technician, with a strong English 2nd language, to join our team at MAHA in South Africa. Many of our clients from Madagascar, Mauritius, Seychelles, Burundi, Rwanda, DRC, and Congo are French-speaking, making this role essential.

Successful applicants will participate in the MAHA Apprentice Technician Program, which includes On Job Training (OJT) in Johannesburg and potentially neighboring provinces. Trainees will learn specialized MAHA technical skills in mechanics, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, civil engineering, IT software, and vehicle inspection. A passport is required, as after basic training, you may accompany a senior technician to clients in the SEQA region. After at least one year at MAHA SEQA, you will be eligible for the next available round of certified MAHA training in Germany.

As a small EME, MAHA SEQA offers competitive benefits similar to those of larger companies, including contributions towards medical, retirement, and group life insurance. The longer you stay with MAHA, the better the benefits become.

AMAGLUG GLUG chooses MAHA

We all know that SASOL is one of South Africa’s leading chemical and energy brands with over 400 service stations nationwide. They recently selected MAHA for the installation of a load simulation roller brake tester and side slip (scuff) gauge at their Alrode workshop.

When SASOL went to market in search of a Fuel & Gas compliant roller brake tester, with load simulation capabilities for loaded brake tests, MAHA was the obvious choice.

The SASOL installation includes:
• MBT 4250 Raising Roller Brake Tester – Designed to test brake efficiency (N/kg) of axle loads up to 13ton, 5ton load simulation, measure GVM, wheel and axle weights with accuracy, test for brake disk binding, measure warped disk or drum ovality.
• MINC II Side Slip Tester – Providing fast, accurate toe alignment measurements to reduce tyre wear, improve handling, and enhance overall vehicle safety.

Northern Ireland chooses MAHA … Again

We are super proud to see that MAHA was selected, once again, to support the upgrade of Northern Ireland’s national vehicle inspection system. What a huge win for our colleagues in Ireland and for the MAHA Group.

This major project involves:
✔ Delivery and installation of 79 inspection lanes
✔ Development of 2 new testing facilities
✔ Enhancements to current sites
✔ Long-term service and support over the next decade

This is truly a significant milestone for the MAHA Group and is one of the largest single projects in MAHA’s history. Considering the new procurement regulations in Ireland, with a clear focus on quality over cost, this is a strong reflection of the trust placed in MAHA’s engineering and reliability.
When it comes to i) testing >100 vehicles per lane per day ii) with 3x inspectors per lane iii) with multiple lanes in parallel iv) with 12/6 operating hours and v) thousands of tests performed per week, there is no other choice but MAHA.

A huge congrats to all team members involved.🏆
