Instead of clinging to the past, we completely pivoted, reinvented our facility, and mastered advanced hydroforming. We have built our company around that exact truth. Jones Metal Products started a century ago by stamping and porcelain-enameling everyday goods, right alongside the manufacturing giants of that era. But as the world changed, we realized that holding onto the past wouldn't protect our future.

Instead of standing still, we evolved. We completely transformed our plant, pivoting away from traditional enamelware to master advanced hydroforming technology. That willingness to step outside our comfort zone and reinvent our capabilities is exactly why our doors are still open, our team is still growing, and we are still proudly manufacturing right here at home.

This dock has been a summer staple for kids and families in Coshocton County for as long as anyone can remember. Lately though, it's been sitting behind a fence, too worn down to safely use, slowly falling into the lake.
That didn't sit right with us.

Jones Metal is proud to sponsor the rebuild of the dock at Lake Park, and we can't wait to see it full of fishing lines and familiar faces this summer.

Talk about a heavy metal performance! 🎶

In 2020, as part of a wind retrofit to help the bridge withstand 100 mph gusts, engineers replaced the old sidewalk railings with 12,000 thinner, more aerodynamic stainless steel slats.

What they didn't fully predict was a phenomenon called vortex shedding. When strong winds hit these new slats at just the right angle, they vibrate like the reed of a giant harmonica, creating a haunting hum that can be heard up to 3 miles away! To keep the neighbors happy, crews are now installing thousands of tiny U-shaped aluminum clips to "tune" the slats and quiet the song.

In fabrication, even the smallest change in geometry can change the way a structure sounds!
