Got the FE finally done! S**t Forged 4.250 stroked crank, spinning on Clevite bearings held by full skirt to main cap girdle tied down with ARP studs, with Ohio Crankshaft billet rods and ARP bolts connecting the DSS forged 4.110 bore boost ready pistons with ports on ring lands, wrapped with Total Seal piston rings, 451.6 cubic and 10.5:1 compression, topped off with Edelbrock Performer RPM heads stainless valves , Howard’s Cams double Soring with three angle valve job blended and ported , sealed with Cometic MLS gaskets, tied down with ARP head studs, A CompCams .675” lift 110 LSA roller camshaft, Comp Cams Endure X solid roller lifters, CompCams chromoly push tubes, Dove Shaft Rockers, Melling High flow oil pump. Using port matched FE Power.Net adapter to a Trick Flow 351C intake manifold , topped off with a 850cfm Brawler 4150 carburetor, Progression Ignition distributor with race ready launch/boost/nitrous control, March Performance serpentine belt kit and alternator, ATI super damper **t Ohio Crankshaft

Some port matching and mill work to get this 351C intake to line up to the FE adaptor then the adaptor port matched to the edlebrock heads, finished set up of heads , properly shimmed to correct spring installed height, this 4.25 stroked 4.110 bore Ford 390FE is coming along nicely

Here at Childress Mechanical we keep pushing ahead trying to bring a valuable service to the customers and making shop more efficient. That being said this washer is a game changer!

KTA-38 , 2300 cubic inches, 1000 hp. This is just one of the marine vessel’s two main engines! Approximately 60k hours on this engine had a connecting rod bearing failure, spun and heavily damaged the crankshaft. With a reconditioned block and crankshaft from another engine we will recondition this engine back to life. Tear down measure and inspect every component. The heads will be reconditioned in house on our Rottler machines.
