A project of this magnitude is only possible through years of collaboration. At the FM Area Diversion Recognition Night, Moore Engineering was proud to be recognized alongside the many organizations and individuals who have contributed to this important project, including our very own Lyndon Pease, who was individually recognized for his contributions.

For nearly 20 years, Lyndon has worked on flood control projects throughout the Fargo-Moorhead region, helping shape solutions that will provide lasting protection for homes, schools and businesses throughout our community.

We’re proud of Lyndon, our team, and everyone who has helped move the FM Area Diversion forward.

Last Friday marked another successful FM BrainSTEM event! Students had the opportunity to participate in hands-on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) workshops designed to spark curiosity and introduce them to a variety of career paths.

Founded in 2016 by one of Moore Engineering's project managers, Alexa, FM BrainSTEM continues to make a difference in the lack of diversity and inclusion in STEM. The event continues to bring together students, colleges, and organizations with the goal of inspiring the next generation of STEM leaders.

💧 Garrison, ND | Water Treatment Plant Expansion

Serving both the City of Garrison and Garrison Rural Water, the Garrison Water Treatment Plant plays a critical role in delivering high-quality water throughout the region. As demands on the system continued to grow, Moore Engineering helped evaluate the facility and develop a plan for expansion and modernization. The completed project increased treatment capacity, replaced aging infrastructure, and improved critical treatment processes.

From initial evaluation through design and construction, the project helps ensure the region has the capacity to meet both current and future water demands.

📍 Horace, ND | River's Edge Development

River's Edge is transforming 100 acres along the Sheyenne River into a thoughtfully planned residential community that blends housing, recreation, open space, and infrastructure. What was once undeveloped land is becoming a neighborhood designed to support both current residents and future growth.

Working closely with the developer (Dabbert), City of Horace, Cass Rural Water District, Horace Park District, and surrounding stakeholders, Moore Engineering helped master plan and design a community featuring new infrastructure, parks, trails, open space, and a regional stormwater pond system.

Extensive landscaping and placemaking elements, including pond-side amenities, plantings, retaining walls, boulder outcroppings, monument signage, lighting, and ADA-compliant trails, were incorporated throughout the development to help create a distinctive neighborhood identity.

From regional infrastructure improvements to community gathering spaces, River's Edge was designed to create a place residents can enjoy for years to come.

📍 Swanville, MN | Stormwater Pond

When a community grows, planning for where rain and snowmelt go is just as important as planning for new roads and homes.

As part of Swanville's new residential development, a stormwater pond was constructed to help manage runoff from rain and snowmelt. By collecting and temporarily storing water, the pond helps reduce flooding, protect roads and utilities, and improve water quality before runoff leaves the site.
