With the current heat wave we are having here are some simple tips that can help your air conditioner and could possibly save you a service call!
Change filters every 30–60 days, especially during heavy-use months. A clean filter keeps air moving and reduces strain on your system.
Keep vents open and clear
Closing vents or blocking them with furniture can disrupt airflow and make your system work harder than it should.
Make sure nothing is covering return vents — restricted airflow can impact performance across your entire system.
Give your outdoor unit some space
Leaves, dirt and debris can build up around the condenser. Keeping it clear helps your A/C run more efficiently.

We have received a number of calls from customers regarding their Black Hills Energy service plan appointments.

As of this year, Stein Heating & Cooling has chosen not to renew our service contract with Black Hills Energy. As a result, another contractor is now providing service for customers covered under the Black Hills Energy service plan.

We sincerely appreciate your continued support and understanding. If you have any questions or need HVAC service outside of the Black Hills Energy service plan, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We’re always happy to help and look forward to serving you.

We also offer our own preventative maintenance and service plans designed to help keep your heating and cooling system running efficiently year-round. If you’re interested in learning more about our maintenance plans and the benefits they provide, we’d be happy to answer any questions.
