We are officially kicking off our countdown to REI’s Harvest of Sunshine in August, and we’ve got a very scientific, highly competitive summer experiment lined up.

Meet the contenders:
🟢 In this corner: REI’s sunflowers, starting as tiny sprouts and reaching for the sky.

🔵 In that corner: Emmett, our official measuring stick.

We'll be tracking their progress, checking the heights, and seeing just how tall these beauties get before the big harvest in August. Stay tuned!

Congratulations to our 2026 REI Engineering Scholarship Recipient, Alexia Borysenko!

Alexia is a recent graduate of Mosinee High School and the daughter of REI team member Jim Borysenko, Principal Engineer | Civil Design -- Technical Lead.

We’re proud to support Alexia as she begins her next chapter this fall at the University of Wisconsin – Madison where she plans to pursue a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in accounting. Congratulations, Alexia, and best wishes for a bright future ahead!

REI Engineering has proudly supported the educational goals of our team members’ children through this scholarship program since 2015. We believe education creates opportunity, and we are honored to help students pursue their next steps after high school.

Today, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. This Memorial Day, we reflect with gratitude on their courage, selflessness, and enduring legacy. We remember. We honor. We will never forget.

Big shoutout to Nate Guldan for graduating from the Transformational Leadership Program through the Greater Wausau Chamber of Commerce! Over the past nine months, Nate has put in the work developing his leadership skills and finding ways to make a positive impact both at REI and in the community.

As part of the program, Nate collaborated with fellow local leaders on a community-based project to help local kids get in the game—collecting and redistributing sports equipment to make sure youth have the chance to play, grow, and build confidence through sports. Congratulations, Nate!
