Precision in the machine shop leads to precision in the field.

Take a look at this trolley frame being machined on our Kuraki in the Superior Crane Corp. machine shop.

This trolley will become part of a 1.25-ton double-girder gantry robot crane. During the machining process, we’re smoothing and leveling critical surfaces to ensure the fabrication and assembly process is easier, more accurate, and ultimately produces a higher-quality finished product.

A local trades training program gives high school and young adult students hands-on experience, mentorship, and a paid pathway into the skilled trades. Superior Crane Corp, in Waukesha, recently celebrated its sixth annual graduation of its SCC-University trades training program, recognizing the class of 2026 and the work its students put into building their futures.

6th Annual SCC-University Graduation 🎓🔧

As summer begins to wind down, we’re celebrating another incredible class of graduates from the SCC-University trades training program!

Congratulations to the Class of 2026! 👏

Throughout the program, these students worked hard every day—learning hands-on skills, gaining valuable job-shadowing experience in the trades they were interested in, and building important life and financial skills that we hope they carry with them wherever their future takes them.

They showed up every day ready to learn, grow, challenge themselves, and become better versions of themselves. They worked their butts off, and we couldn’t be more proud of what they accomplished!

At SCC, we’re proud to play a small part in developing the next generation of skilled workers and helping young people discover the opportunities and careers available in the trades.

This trolley hoist has quite the pickup game! 💪

Built to handle some serious lifting, this Class C 150/25 Ton SCC trolley hoist features:

• 150-ton hoist with a RAMSHORN sister hook design
• Corporation Paramax 9000 gearcase on the 150-ton hoist
• SCC horizontally split gearcase on the 25-ton hoist
• Brakes shoe brakes
• Gear trolley drives
• Magnetek Controls

One thing is for sure—this trolley hoist is ready to move some BIG things for our customer!

Back in Action – Project #100959

Our service crew is back in action and making great progress on another major crane installation.

This project includes a complete 16-crane and runway system at a new facility, featuring:

(8) 52' span, 35-ton, top-running, double-girder cranes with (2) 17.5-ton trolley hoists per crane
(8) 75' span, 35-ton, top-running, double-girder cranes with (2) 17.5-ton trolley hoists per crane

A project of this scale takes teamwork, precision, and dedication. A huge thank you to our entire crew for their hard work and commitment to delivering another successful installation.

Send in the Drums – Project #100891

Big projects start with exceptional components.

These massive hoist drums are being built for a 30-ton double-girder, top-running bucket crane and will soon be mounted on our SCC-built trolleys. While impressive on their own, they're just one piece of a custom crane system engineered to deliver reliable performance in demanding applications.

Every project we build is designed to meet our customers' unique lifting requirements, from individual components to complete crane systems.

Company Picnic 2026 ☀️

At SCC, we believe our greatest strength is our people. Our annual company picnic is one of the many ways we celebrate the incredible team that makes our success possible and the families who support them every day.

It was a wonderful afternoon filled with laughter, connection, and fun as employees and their families enjoyed beautiful weather, a water bounce house, sq**rt guns, yard games, and an entertaining performance by Dave. We also held our annual employee raffle, adding a little extra excitement to the day.

A special thank you to 's Specialty Meats for providing a fantastic meal and 's Kool Treats for serving up delicious ice cream. We truly appreciate all of our vendors who helped make this event possible.

Events like these remind us that a strong company culture is built on more than the work we do—it's built on the relationships we create, the moments we share, and the appreciation we have for one another. Thank you to our employees and their families for being such an important part of the SCC community. We're proud of what we've built together and look forward to many more memories ahead.

Triple Decker Job Spotlight

Take a look at this impressive 25-ton, Class D, top-running, double-girder, triple-trolley bridge crane currently in our shop.

With a 60'-1" span, this crane is equipped with:

(1) SCC built-up 25-ton main trolley hoist

(2) SCC built-up 12.5-ton auxiliary trolley hoists

Full front service platform with access gates

Nested lubrication system for the bridge end trucks and trolley hoists

SCC heavy-duty end trucks

Magnetek Controls with hoist synchronization, allowing the variable frequency drives (VFDs) on each hoist to communicate seamlessly for coordinated operation

The crane is in the final stages of electrical installation and will soon move into testing before shipping to our customer.

Projects like this showcase the engineering, craftsmanship, and attention to detail our team brings to every build.
