The Schnell Snail GTI rallycross missile took first place at the first New England SCCA night-time rallycross event at Okemo mountain blue lot. 14 drivers in modified front wheel drive class! The 2003 GTI with 205k miles didn't miss a beat. It is an absolute weapon!

Finally Pearl can live up to her name! So much so I threw some custom decals on! This took A LOT longer than I anticipated. Nearly a decade of no baths and no wax left this paint severely oxidized. The belt line vinyl graphic was deteriorating and making the whole van look worse in my opinion. Heat gun/ rubber eraser wheel and plastic razor blades to remove the old decals....6 hrs of work alone
Clay bar, paint correction with compound, polish, ceramic wax, polish again. Missing/damaged sections of pin striping repaired and replaced.
Hopefully the effort is appreciated.

The commonrail swapped gti is up for sale. You can't build one for my asking price. Haven't gone to a vw show with it in over 10 years. Don't plan to either. There are much better things to do than stand around a parking lot. Find it on marketplace.

No one likes to hear that they have unexpected repairs to spend money on, but better it is taken care of before it becomes an inconvenience.

Malfunction door locks and power windows usually fail at the worst time. Being locked out or having a window stuck down during a thunder shower hundreds of miles from home is a lot worse (and more expensive) than having your trusted local mechanic set things in order.

Not only did the wiring harness that is NLA get restored but the possibility for the passenger door lock to inadvertently lock your keys inside has been eliminated as well
