This Careers in Construction Month, we're celebrating the associates whose dedication, expertise, and hard work help build homes, businesses, and communities across the country. We rely on the talents and contributions of our teams every day, and we're grateful they have chosen to build their careers with US.

This summer, our interns turned creativity, teamwork and presentation skills into an opportunity to give back through the Summer of Giving Challenge.

Teams researched nonprofits, developed their pitches and competed for the chance to direct a $5,000 US LBM Foundation donation to their chosen organization. The winning team, who selected the Peter T Foundation, which supports children battling cancer and their families through positive experiences.

And while one team was selected as the winner, the impact of the experience extended well beyond a single pitch. Inspired by all of the interns’ thoughtful presentations and the causes they brought forward, the US LBM Foundation surprised the other teams by awarding each of them $2,500 to donate to the charities they represented.

What started as a friendly competition became a meaningful opportunity for our interns to build skills, share causes they care about and make a difference in the communities and families we serve.

Congratulations to all of our interns for making the Summer of Giving Challenge a success!
