Last week, KGE attended Generac Industrial Energy’s Engineering Symposium in Wisconsin, alongside consulting engineers from our network.

Over three days, engineers from across the U.S. and Canada came together for technical education, collaboration, and a closer look at the technologies behind today’s power generation systems.

The symposium included sessions covering topics such as generator sizing, paralleling, codes and standards, along with facility tours and opportunities to connect directly with Generac’s people, products, and engineering resources.

With increasing demand for reliable and resilient power solutions, events like this give engineers valuable resources, practical knowledge, and firsthand experience they can bring back to future projects.

The KGE team is in Washington, D.C. for the 2026 EGSA Fall Conference, connecting with industry professionals and taking part in conversations focused on the future of onsite power and this year’s theme, Powering Data Centers.

A major highlight of the conference was honoring Charlie Habic, President/Owner of Gillette Generators, with EGSA’s Lifetime Achievement Award. In recognition of his impact on the industry, the award has also officially been renamed Charlie Habic Lifetime Achievement Award in his honor.

The conference also featured a keynote address from President Bush, adding another standout moment to an already strong lineup of speakers and industry discussions.

Events like EGSA give our team the opportunity to learn, connect, and stay current on the technologies, challenges, and trends shaping power generation today.

We’re looking forward to bringing those conversations and insights back to KGE.

20 years later, we’re still building.

In 2006, Kelly Generator & Equipment made the move to Owings, Maryland, opening a new chapter for our growing company.

Now, two decades later, that same headquarters continues to grow with us.

Our new Rentals building is nearing completion, expanding our Owings office and creating more space to support our equipment, our team, and the customers who have helped KGE grow over the years.

A lot has changed since 2006, but our commitment to reliable power and dependable service hasn’t.

Here’s to remembering where we started, appreciating how far we’ve come, and continuing to build for what’s next,
