🚨 IMPORTANT SAFETY RECALL NOTICE (NHTSA Recall No. 26E069) 🚨

This is an important safety recall notice. This is not an advertisement. Roadmaster has identified that motorhome mounted tow bars with roll pin holes, can become loose over time, in the T-bolt assembly. To correct this, Roadmaster will provide hardware to address this issue, if required, at no cost to you. You will not be charged for parts or shipping.

The condition addressed by this recall develops gradually and can be identified through visual inspection. The roll pin does not become dislodged suddenly. Rather, if affected, the roll pin may slowly migrate from its installed position over many hundreds or thousands of miles of towing due to vibration and repeated loading.

Not every tow bar is affected by this issue. Determine if your tow bar has a roll pin (see link below or in our bio).
✅ Fully seated roll pin: May continue to be used while you await new hardware.
🛑 Not fully seated, missing, or >1/16" above hole: Do not tow until you have contacted us and the issue has been resolved.

Even if your inspection shows that no corrective action is required, Roadmaster requests that owners of affected serial-numbered tow bars (see link above) contact the company so inspection results can be documented, and ownership records updated. PLEASE SHARE / TAG A FELLOW RVER -> Not every owner registered their product, and we need the RV community’s help to make sure this reaches everyone!

We have issued a safety recall affecting Roadmaster Nighthawk tow bars with serial numbers between 15,000 and 20,843.

(If you have already contacted us regarding this recall, no further action is needed!)

🔍 WHAT TO CHECK:
Locate the serial number on your Nighthawk tow bar.
Check if it falls within 15,000 – 20,843 and features the single roll pin design.

🛠️ WHAT TO DO NEXT:
✅ If your serial number is OUTSIDE the 15,000–20,843 range:
You are good and do not need to do anything.

✅ If your serial number is WITHIN range and the ROLL PIN IS FULLY SEATED:
You may safely continue using your tow bar while awaiting your free replacement stinger. Simply inspect the pin before each travel day to confirm it remains seated.

🚨 If the ROLL PIN IS NOT FULLY SEATED (backing out, missing, or damaged):
STOP TOWING IMMEDIATELY. Email us with "URGENT!" in the subject line (and attach photos of the pin if possible) so we can prioritize getting you back on the road safely.
