Part 5 — the full system, connected and protected.

Gab and Ben wrap up the build with the complete picture. In this short they show the Nighthawk tow bar clicking into the Direct-Connect Baseplate — the clean, tool-free connection Roadmaster is known for — and walk through how they're protecting the Maverick from road debris on every mile of towing with the Roadmaster Tow Defender.

From the first bolt to the open road, the system is complete.

Baseplate: Roadmaster 524470-5
Tow Bar: Roadmaster Nighthawk
Braking System: Roadmaster InvisiBrake
Protection: Roadmaster Tow Defender

The Direct-Connect system means hookup and breakaway take seconds, not a toolbox. Is your toad protected from debris on the road? Let us know your setup below!

Part 4 — because stopping matters just as much as going.

Gab and Ben get into one of the most important pieces of any flat tow setup: the braking system. In this short they break down why a dedicated braking solution is essential, introduce the Roadmaster InvisiBrake, and walk through how it connects directly to the toad's stop-light switch for a clean, fully integrated install.

Your motorhome's brakes shouldn't be doing all the work alone.

Braking System: Roadmaster InvisiBrake

Did you know most states legally require a supplemental braking system for flat towing? Is yours set up correctly? Drop a comment!

Part 3 — tools are out, and things are getting real.

Gab and Ben are officially into the install on their 2023 Ford Maverick. In this short they walk through the early stages of fitting the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Baseplate, break down the electrical components that make flat towing safe and legal, and introduce their tow bar of choice — the Roadmaster Nighthawk.

Because a great baseplate is only half the system.

Wiring, lighting, braking — it all matters. Are you running a full system setup on your toad? Let us know in the comments!

Part 2 is here — and the hardware has arrived.

Before a single bolt goes in, Gab and Ben take a close look at the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Baseplate straight out of the box. From checking all the components to understanding how the direct-connect design works, this short is all about knowing what you're working with before the install begins.

Clean fitment starts with knowing your parts.

Bigger is better when it comes to your suspension. 🚐💪

Every 1/8" increase in an anti-sway bar's diameter increases torsional roll stiffness by an average of 30%. That's why RSS anti-sway bars have a thicker diameter than stock bars and are made from premium 4140 chromoly steel, offering up to 90% more resistance to sway!

Combine that with our heavy-duty polyurethane bushings—which, unlike rubber, are impervious to gas and oil and won't buckle—and a durable baked-on powder-coated finish. The result is an empowering experience: quicker maneuvering, a level ride, and no more launching the dishes out of the cupboard! 🍽️🚫

Big news for RV owners and installers! 🚐 You asked, and we listened. Our Comfort Ride Shock Systems now include complete U-bolt hardware kits!

This means you get an all-in-one suspension upgrade solution right out of the box. Each kit includes 8 heavy-duty U-bolts, 4 backing plates, 16 nuts, and washers, perfectly sized for a secure, precision fit.
Comfort Ride utilizes heavy-duty, nitrogen-charged shocks to tackle common towing issues like chucking, axle roll-up, and the dreaded "pogo stick" bouncing. Protect your trailer's structural integrity, prevent water leaks by reducing wear on seams and sealants, and keep your interior contents in place during transit.

*(Note: We've also updated our part numbers for tandem-axle trailer kits: 24238, 24300, and 24350).*
