Wellons is pleased to announce affective May 1st 2024, Pat Thornton, the current President of Wellons Canada, will assume the role of President / CEO of the Wellons Group. Pat will be replacing Martin Nye, the majority shareholder, whom has been the President / CEO for more than 30 years.

For over 50 years, Wellons has been a leader in providing biomass-fired energy systems, lumber dry kilns, and related products and services to the forest products and industrial power industries. We provide our customers with complete services in design, engineering, and manufacturing, as well as installation services and technical assistance. Martin has built up a successful and financially sound, customer focus business and will remain helping in a reduced capacity providing support to Pat where needed through this transition.

Wellons is honored to have partnered with Matériaux Blanchet at their Saint-Pamphile, Qc facility. Congratulations on the install of the first ELECTRICALLY HEATED, Multi-Zone Continuous Drying System (CDS). This CDS uses Wellons Winkiln -EVO control system and our wireless Trumark EVO moisture measurement system to control and optimize the drying of lumber in small batches and achieve consistent, high quality results.

Wellons continues to lead and innovate in the lumber drying industry!

Wellons is proud to have partnered with long time customer Neiman Sawmills at their Montrose facility in Colorado. Wellons provided a turn-key 50,000 PPH boiler coupled with a 1500 KW turbine generator, two (2) A-30-40 fuel storage bins, fuel delivery and handling equipment including the truck reclaimer and a state of the art electrostatic precipitator. Wellons is proud to announce the completion of our 90 MM Btu/hr thermal oil energy and continuous drying facility in Dudley, Georgia for West Fraser. We are excited to further partner with West Fraser in the production of two (2) additional sites of near identical equipment.

The facility located in Henderson, Texas will consist of a duplicate green field operation including a 90 MM Btu/hr Thermal Oil System paired with two (2) 300’ Counterflow Continuous Drying Systems (CDS). In McDavid, Florida equipment will consist of two (2) 250’ Parallel CDS with an additional 90 MM Btu/hr Thermal Oil system.

Wellons is proud to partner with East Energy Renewables in the production of two (2) EPC 85,000 PPH, poultry litter-fired combined heat & power plants. The facilities located in Wilson and La Grange, North Carolina will be comprised of our latest technology and design.
