This past weekend, we gathered with staff, their families, and guests to commemorate our 20th anniversary with an Oktoberfest-inspired celebration. From axe throwing and spirited Oktoberfest-themed competitions to great food and even better conversations, the event gave us an opportunity to reflect on the journey we've shared over the past two decades.
Thank you to Park Hills Golf & Grille for hosting us, Slingers Throw House for the fun axe throwing trailer, and the famous Schützengiggles Oompah Band for the amazing music and entertainment.

🚧 Progress Taking Shape in Marion County, WV! 🚧
A major milestone was recently reached on the CR-1 Mannington Bridge Replacement project in Marion County, West Virginia, as crews successfully completed the overnight installation of bridge beams.

Mike Vaow and Jason Reed (pictured) were out on site this week, assessing bat habitats to support our clients’ permitting efforts. 🦇Bats are known to use manmade bridges for roosting. When bridges are planned for replacement, assessments need to be completed to determine if bats are present or actively using the structure for roosting.

Assessments must be completed while bats are active, within the USFWS survey window that closed this week. Areas that are difficult to access were inspected using a GoPro mounted on a 30-foot adjustable pole. If bats or signs of bat activity are found, protection measures can be incorporated into the project design and construction to avoid impacts to bats.
