Here is a 36” X 20” deep fire ring we made the other day. It was something fun and a little different. We are not trying to compete with the already flooded market of these….but if anyone wants a custom fire ring made to order we can make it. We can roll as thick as 1/4” mild steel rings.

Customer design that we brought into fruition for them. They wanted a cover/smoke deflector for their fire pit and something to keep flames from catching the trees above on fire. They also wanted removable sides that we mounted with magnets for easy on and off. This is not a project we would normally take on as we are not fire pit/ornamental experts but this particular client owns a business that gives us a ton of work so we said yes. They are happy so we’re happy.

Nice and easy little job to wrap up the week at a waste water plant. Fabricated and installed some exterior guard rail along with a removable interior guard rail. We also had a large aluminum floor hatch we made and installed along with some other miscellaneous covers.

We finally finished the 8 piles for the vdot project late Friday afternoon. 21 joints and around 90lbs of 7018 rods. Everything passed NDT. Another successful project on the books!

Fun day in the mud today. We got all piles prepped, fitted and ready for inspection. Got a little muddy and had to dodge some rain this morning. Yesterday was a washout but even with a day wasted due to weather we are still about a day and a half ahead of schedule! Tomorrow we’ll get everything welded out and ready for final inspection.

14 H piles that we need to splice together for a total of 7 piles. Everything will get cut, beveled and fitted today and tomorrow. Fit up will be inspected on Monday then we can start welding everything out.

Well it’s a good thing we had some down time to maintenance our other welder and put this skid together. This truck heads out tomorrow on a bridge job for vdot.

Felt like a paint shop today (which we are most certainly not!) We’re giving our backup machine a make over with some new paint. We also got the welding skid finished/coated with bed liner and had some time to start on a custom fire pit lid.

We had some down time today so we decided to start building a welding skid for our old bobcat. This will be a nice little addition to make life easier when we need additional trucks on a job. We can also crane this onto a roof top when we are doing projects on multiple story buildings to save us from stretching out 100’s of feet of welding lead. Best part is that it’s all left over materials from previous projects so it has cost us nothing but our time.
