- The outdated practice of using chain—secured with a dog clip and metal collar—for breasting line sets or marrying two line sets together should be discontinued. Dog clips are not rated for load-bearing applications and should not be used to secure the chain’s load path. Good rigging practice dictates that any added hardware or chain should not interfere with the batten’s hanging points to ensure safe and unobstructed operation. - This setup poses a serious safety risk—wire rope must be properly terminated using rated hardware, and structural elements must be anchored to the floor with fasteners appropriate for the load and application. Drywall screws are not designed for structural support and should never be used in rigging. Get your rigging inspected, or shop for new rigging at performance.wengercorp.com

- This setup is unsafe because painted wire rope may conceal damage, and a carabiner is not rated for permanent overhead loads. Proper hardware and inspection protocols must be used to ensure rigging safety. Get your rigging inspected, or shop for new rigging at performance.wengercorp.com
