Safety is a top priority for HHI. Safety Personnel spearheads the safety program led by our director and SSHO's (Site Safety Health Officers). Crews report on site conditions daily. Weekly, crews meet and discuss a relevant safety topic. Monthly, the SSHO's and Director meet per division to ensure we all return home safely at the end of the day.
Quarterly, the entire company gathers for the opportunity to learn more about the importance of safety.
For 2026 Quarter 1, we covered Ergonomics. One key take away is to be willing to take micro breaks to stretch.

Trailblazing is hard work and innovative! Per our 2026 theme, we want to integrate miniature ten-minute trainings we will be performing throughout the year. Each training will present helpful content for ten minutes on the 10th of each month (or as close to it as we can get) to fine-tune our processes, skillsets, and otherwise boost the career paths of HHI employees.

This month, we dove into the specifics of tape measures and the variety between types. Please enjoy some of the general takeaways from the event!

He goes on to say that "There are way too many things that can capture our attention and cause us to do something that is questionable in the safety department if we do not have safety in mind. It can be way too easy to get hurt or even worse. Keep Safety with you all day as you get things done. It's that time of year again, when children return to school, the air drifts with the first fallen leaves, and we are at the tip of summer and autumn all at the same time. As the children bustle about with their backpacks at the ready, Keep these 5 things in mind:
1 - School bus flashing lights and stop signs: Please stop as the kids embark and disembark the bus!
2 - Crossing guards and children must be out of the road on both sides of traffic before we can roll through an intersection.
3- Be cautious near school zones especially, even on Saturdays and Sundays! The children still may be on their way to play at the nearby parks.
4- Seatbelts! Don't forget to keep this practice in play as school traffic amps up.
5- Car seat hint for toddlers: Use a button up shirt buttoned over the car seat/ booster seat buckle to prevent premature unbuckling habits.
