AWS
On Nov 9th @12:30 we will hold a short meeting in the Miller room. This meeting will regard information for an up coming resume workshop we will do in January. As most of us know John Deere was at Weber State to look for new hires in their company. Mark Baugh was able to glean some helpful information that we should help students to prepare for interviews and resume building. The AWS Presidency suggestion is that we help everyone, even if you are not looking to enter the workforce in the near future. Interviews and resumes are what will help you get a job. So let people know, I don't have every ones E-mail so if you get this then pass the word around.
I have also talked about the metal art project that we are doing accompanied with SWE. We should start fabrication on Friday the 4th. I will send something out by Wednesday to give a better time of when.
The chili cook off is taking off, I got a bunch of stuff from US welding, gloves and, a welding jacket. Miller should be getting us a new welding hood to raffle off as well. I will have posters up for the raffle on Thursday, they will explain how much and, who to pay.
Mark Biddle in the art department is working on our design for our shirts and I hope to hear back from him soon. If you have received a new member packet there should be a green paper in there for $10.00; fill it out with your AWS # and name and give it to Mark Baugh or my self and we will send them to AWS. That will go towards your shirts.
