A few team socials this past week gave us a good excuse to step away from the usual routine, enjoy some great Mexican food from Robles Taquería, and spend time catching up with one another.

We’re always glad for the opportunity to get the crew together, share a few laughs, and enjoy some time outside of the day-to-day.

Sewer repairs don’t make for glamorous photos, but there’s some good work happening down there.

When a sinkhole threatened the sewer at the Bridgeport Lift Station in Sioux City, our crews worked around the clock to install thousands of feet of bypass piping and pumps. That kept wastewater moving for the City and a longtime major industrial client while we tackled the repairs.

Working with the City and our client, our RP/CEC team developed a solution using 100% HDPE plastic manholes and fused HDPE piping inside the lift station to resist future corrosion. To our knowledge, these are the first manholes of their kind used in this area.

Having engineers and construction crews on the same team helped us work through both the design and how to actually install it while keeping the system running. That combined experience matters on a design-build repair like this.

The new lift-station piping is now installed and anchored, and repairs are in the home stretch. Thanks to our crews for the long hours and tough work, and to the City and our client for working through the solution with us.

Community involvement is an important part of who we are at RP Constructors, LLC

We were proud to attend the 40th Annual Siouxland Chamber of Commerce Dinner, celebrating the businesses and people who continue to help our community grow. Our CEO, Ryan Callaghan, is also proud to support the Chamber through his service on the Board.

It was a great evening connecting with others in the community and enjoying plenty of laughs with comedian Frank Caliendo.

We’re grateful to be part of Siouxland and remain invested in supporting its continued growth and success.

Engineers who understand construction. Builders who understand the design. It helps when they work together every day.

At RP/CEC, our engineers get out to the jobsite and help build what they design. Our field crews bring practical experience back into the plans. If something looks good on paper but won’t work in the field, we want that conversation early.

This chart shows where construction spending is moving. Behind those numbers are projects that need pipe installed, concrete placed, equipment set and systems that work.

Rain from above. Sludge from below. Senior PM Tanner Lambert really picked a great day to wear chest waders. 😂

He’s been crawling around inside a drained sequencing batch reactor inspecting piping. The rain is providing the rinse cycle.

Nothing says “I went to college for this” quite like this outfit.

We do some pretty cool stuff. And in Texas, some pretty BIG stuff.

Here’s a look at a project our crew has been tackling this year—from tying rebar and preparing forms to setting 96-inch steel pipe and pouring the concrete encasement. That’s eight feet of pipe diameter, for those keeping score at home.

Now our guys are welding the joints from the INSIDE. Definitely not your average pipe job.

Our Safety Manager, Todd Lowe and Holding Company COO were onsite supporting PM Jack, Blake and crew—monitoring the atmosphere, checking that ventilation blowers are positioned and working properly, and helping keep the risks controlled throughout the work.

We care a great deal about the quality of what we build. We care even more about the people building it.
