Thornton Flooring Thornton Flooring was started in Richard and Dawn Thorntons' garage in 1975. They had three rolls of Carpet and two rolls of vinyl.

The store has now grown to over 65000 square feet in Sioux Falls and expanded to North Sioux City, SD in 2018.
