DRIVEN TO CREATE | Welded Patina Metal Table with Mahogany Top
At Built American Equipment, we’re Driven to Create. From time to time, we share projects we build simply because we enjoy creating.
For this project, we built a standing table frame using 1” × 1” square tubing, then left the raw steel outside for a few weeks to develop a natural patina. Once we had the look we wanted, we powder coated the frame with Prismatic Powders Matte Clear. The clear coat brought out the darker tones while sealing and preserving the patina.
For the top, we took a few mahogany boards, planed and sanded them, then finished the wood with tung oil to bring out the natural color and grain of the mahogany.
