When mission-critical assets are impacted by failure, obsolescence, constrained depot capacity, or limited OEM support, defense programs need a controlled sustainment path that restores capability without defaulting to costly replacements. Parts Life, Inc. supports customers with engineering-driven remanufacturing and repair that returns critical equipment to serviceable condition, extends asset life, reduces sustainment cost, and improves mission readiness.

As a depot overflow partner, Parts Life applies AS9100D quality processes, in-house repair capability, technical evaluation, component-level inspection, configuration control, and our 5R solution set to determine the right path for each asset: remanufacture, repair, reverse engineer, recertify, or replicate.

This approach gives customers a practical and affordable way to address operational availability for mission critical equipment such as ground support equipment, aircraft armament equipment, engines, drive systems, and electro-mechanical assemblies with traceability, technical excellence, and a clear focus on fleet readiness.

Our latest article outlines how Parts Life and DeVal Lifecycle Support help customers move critical assets back toward the field while reducing lead time, extending equipment lifecycle, and improving long-term sustainment.

Carry The Load was founded in 2011 by Veteran U.S. Navy SEALs Clint Bruce and Stephen Holley to actively connect Americans to the sacrifices made by those who serve. Originally a grassroots effort, the non-profit organization has grown into a nationwide movement focused on remembrance, education, community action, and support for those affected by service.

Since then, Carry The Load has raised more than $50 million to support military and first responder communities, with 93 percent of every dollar raised going to programs. Support helps fund counseling and mental health support, adaptive training and equine therapy, su***de prevention programs, service dogs, job placements, and scholarships for children of the fallen.

Their mission is clear: “To provide active ways to honor and remember our nation’s heroes” by connecting Americans to the sacrifices made by military members, veterans, first responders, and their families.

In honor of Military Appreciation Month, the team at Parts Life, Inc. and DeVal Lifecycle Support have donated to the organization in honor of our customers, suppliers, and partners. We’re proud to share Carry the Load’s mission and help bring more awareness to the work they do for those who carry the weight of service and sacrifice.

We extend our sincere gratitude to all who have served, those currently serving, and the families who support them. Thank you for your service, sacrifice, and commitment to our country.

Defense sustainment often requires small quantities of highly specialized components, each with unique technical requirements.

Rich Pennisi discusses how Parts Life, Inc. and DeVal Lifecycle Support are structured to succeed in low-volume, high-mix environments, giving customers a flexible path to restore critical assets while enabling fleet readiness.

As we approach Memorial Day, we take time to honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to the United States of America. Their sacrifice protects the liberty and freedom that our country was founded on.

While this weekend marks the beginning of summer, bbq’s and beach trips, its true meaning rests in remembrance. As we spend time with our family and friends, we pay tribute to our fallen service members.

May God eternally bless their memories, and may the hearts of their loved ones be filled with comfort and peace.

Wishing you a meaningful and safe Memorial Day weekend.

“Those who have long enjoyed such privileges as we enjoy forget in time that men have died to win them.”
— Franklin D. Roosevelt

Remanufacturing is both art and science. It relies on technical capabilities, but also requires disciplined processes that control quality, cycle time, and throughput. Understanding constraints and reducing variability in the process accelerates fleet readiness.

In this video, Director of Remanufacturing Rich Pennisi explains how lean principles and operational excellence helps Parts Life, Inc. and DeVal Lifecycle Support deliver high-quality remanufactured assets within the timelines customers need to maintain operational availability.

Rich Pennisi, Director of Remanufacturing, shares how 28 years of remanufacturing experience, including 24 years in the automotive aftermarket, has shaped his approach to restoring complex assets for fleet readiness.

Rich’s extensive experience includes managing component variability, identifying repair opportunities, and building disciplined processes that return products to like-new condition. Today, Rich applies those same principles to military systems, where technical requirements are more demanding and mission impact is greater.

With 35+ years in combined remanufacturing expertise, our team delivers a practical path for customers to extend asset life, reduce replacement costs, and return critical equipment to operational availability.

Through Parts Life’s 5R® solution, Parts Life and DeVal Lifecycle Support deliver remanufacturing, repair, recertification, replication, and reverse engineering services that restore critical assets, resolve obsolescence, and improve mission readiness.

Today, members of our Parts Life, Inc. team gathered at the flagpole to recognize the National Day of Prayer.

This year’s theme, “Glorify God Among the Nations, Seeking Him in All Generations,” was a poignant reminder to pray for and reflect on our country as America approaches its 250th birthday.

Together, we prayed over the key centers of influence that shape our nation, including Government, Military, Media, Business, Education, Church, and Family.

As part of the defense industrial base, we are especially grateful for the opportunity to pray for our warfighters, our decision makers, our nation, and the mission we support every day.

Wishing a meaningful National Day of Prayer to all who paused today in reflection, prayer, and unity.

When a critical safing wrench supporting the Minuteman III Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) program failed under operational conditions, with lead times exceeded 300+ days, the challenge required more than a supply chain solution to restore fleet readiness.

In collaboration with engineers at Hill Air Force Base, our team supported a redesign effort informed by real-world testing inside the missile silo.

The outcome: a redesigned, field-validated solution delivered in 60 days, reducing lead times by 84% with a 45% reduction in lifecycle costs and a 4:1 return on investment.

We’re proud to have supported this effort with the Defense Logistics Agency through the Weapon System Readiness Program (WSRP), and we congratulate the team on being recognized with a Department of Defense Supply Chain Excellence Award. Congratulations to everyone involved in advancing solutions that strengthen mission readiness and improve sustainment outcomes.
