🚨 SAFETY SHOUTOUT 🚨
We want to recognize David Johnson for his outstanding response and professionalism displayed at the Thunderbird Pump Station in Greenwood during a recent unexpected compressor blow down incident.
When Compressor One began blowing down without warning near active welding operations, David immediately recognized the danger and took swift action to stop all welding activities, remove personnel from the area, and evacuate the crew to a safe location upwind and across wind. He also ensured proper communication protocols were followed by immediately reporting the incident to Fig Tree leadership and initiating a stop work to verify the wellbeing of everyone involved.
Because of his quick thinking, calm demeanor, and commitment to protecting those around him, the situation was handled safely and effectively.
After review, Phillips 66 Safety highly praised the response from Fig Tree Energy Services and specifically recognized David’s leadership during the incident.

David was also presented with a consolation award by the P66 Regional Manager for his actions on site.
