The truth is that the smalls generate the majority of sales and keep the shop alive. Sometimes you just need that show piece to display what is possible and keep your creative juices flowing. I wanted this to show different techniques with restraint of over doing it. So hard to get a good image of the finished product here in the shop. Hope to get some better ones in a few weeks when it will be on display at the Dallas Total Home and Gift Market at the Dallas World Trade Center.

Batch work filling orders. Finding a rhythm and taking all the pieces through a step before moving on to the next helps me be more efficient. Even a bottle opener requires some thought when you are making 40-50 of them at a time.

Simple doesn’t equate to easy…. Simple lines and dimensional changes can be hard sometimes when you naturally want to keep fiddling with it. Happy with how these turned out.

This is a project that has been on the back burner for a long time. I first sketched it up about 2 years ago and have worked on it a little here and there since then. It’s nice to see it completed and have another product offering with lots of roof for customization. What do you think about it?

A day of hooks…. Some one off garage hooks and well as some towel hooks. Finish on the towel hooks is TBD.

Making some space in the shop so putting these out on here before they hit marketplace. Two post vises, the smaller one has 4” jaws and has been taken apart and cleaned up. The little larger one has 4 1/2” jaws and has not been apart yet. Both anvils are Hay Buddens with the smaller being 101 pounds actual weight and the larger 123. The tail is broken on the smaller one but has good workable face and horn, the larger one has edge damage but is a workable anvil with hardy and horn in good shape.
