Automotive Parts Specialist
Marathon Parts City is a locally owned automotive and ag parts store proudly serving the Marathon and surrounding communities. Our goal is simple: provide outstanding customer service and make sure every customer gets the right part the first time.
We’re currently looking for an experienced, self-motivated, personable, and reliable Automotive Parts Specialist to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys helping people and has a passion for automotive or ag equipment.
Weekly hours would vary based on need and would require working every other Saturday.
Job Responsibilities:
Greet and assist customers in a friendly, helpful manner—excellent customer service is a must!
Assist customers in person and over the phone with automotive and ag parts, accessories, and general merchandise.
Accurately handle transactions, including cash handling and giving change.
Process returns and exchanges per store policy.
Perform light in-store services like:
▪ Installing wipers
▪ Testing batteries
▪ Scanning vehicle codes
▪ Replacing headlight capsules (Where state/local laws permit)
Address customer concerns and resolve complaints with professionalism.
Stock shelves and help keep the store clean and organized.
Make occasional local parts deliveries.
Provide basic service writing support for our on-site service department (training provided).
Other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For:
A motivated, flexible, dependable team player
Strong communication and customer service skills
Willingness to learn (automotive experience is helpful but not required)
Ability to work a flexible schedule:
▪ 20-40 hours per week
▪ 1-3 afternoon shifts per week
▪ Work every other Saturday
Store Hours:
Monday–Friday: 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Saturday: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Compensation:
Hourly pay based on experience
