When the work is done for the day, we turn off the big lights, plug in the mood lights, turn on the record player and drink a b**r or two.

Another great job done by a long time customer of mine, Scott Davis with parts ordered from Gip's Parts Warehouse. A new front bumper and a fog light after a deer hit will keep this Super Duty looking nice for years to come.

Thanks for your business, Scott!

Life can take an old guy out of a car but it will never take the car out of an old car guy.

While visiting a life-long family friend in hospice care today, he was explaining to us what all transpired to get him there; in his exact words,

"The doctor said 'Rog, you blew out your colon!' And I said well, don't they make an aftermarket colon?? Come on, here! They make aftermarket everything else!!"

He ain't wrong 🤷

When we walked in, the lady working asked if we were friends or family, and I wasn't exactly sure how to answer, so I just said, "my dad has known Roger since the 70s. They bought and sold cars back and forth." In our world, those people become family. She said, "I figured when he walked in he must be an old car guy too. My husband is a mechanic," as if that explained everything. And it did! I guess it's one of those things you just know.. Either you know, or you don't get it.

And in that regard, I may be a 34 year old woman, and I was raised first and foremost by my mom, but also by "old car guys," and that's just what makes sense to me.

Here's a little video of one of the last times we went to visit our friend Roger at his house and saw all his cars, and we took him to the bar and played some tunes.

Like any customer service job, there are days where what's left of my patience is severely tested ...

But there are always wonderful customers there to make up for it, some I've been selling to for over a decade, and others that are new!

It's the good customers that make this all worth it. Thank you for giving me a try Ravenstone Repair, and thank you for making my job enjoyable!

Have a happy and safe Memorial Day Weekend!! I have some posts coming this following week, so enjoy your weekend, and stay tuned.

There is and will be continued supply chain issues in our future, especially with oil and tires, and I want to help my customers get ahead before prices skyrocket.

As many of you know, First Brands went t**s up, and they owned many smaller well-known brands we all know and use. I do have cross-reference part numbers for the brands my vendor has put in place for what is no longer available. My vendor strives to carry quality parts; most corporate parts stores carry whatever and hope for the best.

I offer discounted prices for customers that plan ahead, and my plan is to help all of you save money going forward. The best plan is to plan ahead.

Speaking of planning ahead, here's a little sneak-peak on what I have in the works; and no, it's not just limited to Fords 😉

AI is stupid and I hate that it's taken over, but every once in a while it messes up so badly that it's hilarious... I shared a post a while ago about sponsoring a project car and AI pulled that for my business info when you do a Google voice search 😆😆

For the record, you really can sponsor a project car, and I will send progress pictures!! Just don't forget we also sell car parts here at Gip's 😆

If you don't have a project car of your own, we have plenty around here in desperate need of your help. Neglected, shivering outside, and wishing someone would provide the parts they so desperately need, for just $29.95 a month, you can sponsor a project car at Gip's Parts Warehouse! We'll send progress pictures of the car of your choice. Be the change in a poor, neglected vehicle's life before they end up at the junkyard in the sky forever.
