Congratulations to Brother Leffin on his recent promotion to Battalion Chief! You earned it!

Congratulations to newly promoted Battalion Chief Matt Leffin.

Matt previously was promoted to Firefighter/Lieutenant two years ago. He originally joined Maitland as a Firefighter/EMT in 2004. He became a Paramedic in 2007 and was promoted to Engineer in 2012.

Years before his fire service, Matt briefly worked as a part-time recreation counselor with Maitland’s Parks and Recreation Department.

You can be FOR property tax relief and AGAINST Amendment 3. Florida's firefighters support responsible tax reform but Amendment 3 would make permanent changes to how our communities are funded without a reliable plan to sustain the emergency services Floridians count on every day. We shouldn't have to choose between the two.

Vote NO on Amendment 3.

A stark reminder of how dangerous the job can be. We send our deepest condolences to our brothers and sisters in Durham, NC. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of the lost firefighter. It’s a sad day for the Fire service.
