It was a miracle in a half that this morning was perfect weather to pour the foundation. The men showed up early this morning after the infloor heating was laid down, and they got to work. Several hours after they poured- the rain set in hard, which was just what it needed to "wet cure" which makes the foundation even stronger. On top of the added fact that this slab was poured over an old farm foundation, we have a 'solid' beginning to say the least 🤣. 🚜 Maybe it also helped that we laid 4 Bibles in each corner of the building before they poured ! May our new chapter be BLESSED 🙌

🚜🍯 BIG NEWS AT BIG HONEY! 🍯🚜

We officially broke ground on our new honey extracting building! 🙌🐝

As we go ALL IN on getting this building up and ready for the next chapter of Big Honey, we’re simplifying things for a little while. Because of that, our flavored honey will be temporarily unavailable while we focus our time and energy on construction.

But don’t worry — regular honey will still be available at our roadside stand! 🍯

Please bear with us as we grow (quite literally 😂). This building is a HUGE step for Big Honey, and we’re so excited !

Thank you to everyone who continues to stop at the stand, buy our honey, tell your friends about us, and support this little dream of ours. 🐝💛

Catch us at Carlsville Days The 20th annual Carlsville Day on Saturday, July 25, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM along State Highway 42 in Carlsville, Door County, Wisconsin. This annual free family festival features a community parade, a craft fair with over 40 local vendors, and a cherry pie-eating contest.Event Highlights and ScheduleParade: Kicked off at 10:00 AM along Highway 42 (running from Harbour Village Campground to Morning Star Road).Food & Drinks: Food trucks operated from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM in the parking lot of Door County Coffee & Tea Co.Cherry Pie-Eating Contest: Held near Door County Coffee with kids signing up at 11:30 AM and adults at 12:00 PM.Activities: Included free Door County Trolley rides between event sites, a kids carnival with a Ferris wheel, inflatables, face painting, and a craft show outside Door County Candle Company.Live Music: Performed across multiple local venues from 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM.

Big Honey will be at breakfast on the farm this Sunday, set up in the kids activity area! Educating the youth on the importance of bees.. Hope we get to see you there and happy father's day. @ 4029 Pheasant Rd, Algoma, WI 54201 8AM-NOON

Just a little glimpse into the chaos behind the honey 🍯🐝

While most people are inside avoiding the buzzing… we’re out here covered in sweat, propolis, and about 10,000 opinions from the bees 😂

Every jar of Big Honey starts right here — long days in the bee yard, checking hives, lifting heavy boxes, chasing swarms, and trying not to make the girls mad. It’s hard work, but honestly… we wouldn’t trade it for anything.

This isn’t just honey to us. It’s family, tradition, and a whole lot of heart packed into every single bottle.
