This new Van’s custom-built Door County home feels like a private wooded retreat—warm, sophisticated, and intentionally connected to its natural surroundings. The architecture has a classic cottage influence, but the clean lines, dark windows, and carefully selected finishes give it a distinctly modern character.

A screened porch and expansive rear deck make the outdoors an extension of the living space, providing a sheltered place to enjoy the woods in all the elements.

The Wilco Cabinet kitchen features painted white cabinetry, stained oversized island, & Quartzite tops & backsplash by The Granite Company creating a comfortable gathering space that feels both upscale and inviting.

This Van’s custom built guest house feels less like a traditional secondary residence and more like a private modern lakeside retreat.

The home was designed & built to be a private, sophisticated, contemporary guest house with a modern Northwoods feel. Taking advantage of the amazing Lake Michigan views and incorporating warm natural ash wood interiors were a priority.

The covered outdoor porches add another comfortable gathering space with columns on stone bases and cedar toned ceilings.

Today was finally the day to start framing on this new custom home on the bluff in Egg Harbor. From demoing of the existing house, to site excavation of all the rock, pouring concrete, & final backfilling, it was truly a team effort. Can’t thank our partners enough!!
