🚧 First Site Trip of the Summer 🚧

Our NextGenQk4 interns traded their desks for hard hats and headed out to the I-71 Widening Project in Louisville.

From traffic control and construction staging to seeing how design decisions come to life in the field, the visit gave interns a firsthand look at the work happening beyond the office.

One of the goals of the NextGenQk4 program is helping students connect what they're learning in the classroom to real projects and real communities. Site visits like these provide a chance to ask questions, explore different career paths, and see how teams work together to move projects from concept to construction.

Our Summer 2026 interns are officially here, and we’re excited to spend the summer showing them what life inside the engineering world really looks like. From the field to the office, they’ll gain hands-on experience, work alongside professionals across multiple disciplines, and be part of projects that help shape communities. 🏗️📐
