Twenty-five years ago today, our skyline and our hearts were forever changed.
As we look across Lower Manhattan, we pause to honor the 2,977 lives lost on September 11, 2001, the brave first responders who ran toward danger, and the families whose lives were altered in an instant.
A quarter-century later, the sight of One World Trade Center standing tall against the horizon serves as a solemn tribute to the strength of our communities and the unshakeable spirit of New York. We will never forget where we were, who we lost, and how we came together to rebuild.
Today, and every day, we remember.
