Did you know Amee Bay takes its name from a stunning and historic bay on the north coast of Sitkalidak Island, just southeast of Kodiak Island, Alaska? Amee Bay, is a picturesque bay, stretching approximately 2 miles southwest off Sitkalidak Strait, was officially named in the early 1900s by the U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey. Its significance was solidified in maritime history with its inclusion in the 1947 Alaska Coast Pilot.
