ADC Greenville's Halloween party taught us a few things.
1. Dressing up as different versions of Larry was the correct choice.
2. The structural boys will not dress up. They will say they dressed up as each other, but that's not true.
3. Happy birthday, Sullivan!
4. Jenga is the best way to get a group of engineers to loosen up, and also the best way to stress out a landscape architect.

With a site full of beautiful Southern Live Oak trees, ADC needed to approach the Porter-Gaud Chapel project with caution. Watch as Gary walks us through preserving the existing oaks during the design and construction phases. Very careful planning allowed us to maintain the beauty that surrounds the Porter-Gaud Chapel today!

Rendering ➡️ Reality: Ebenezer Park Edition.

Originally developed in the 1980s, ADC developed a comprehensive master plan to reimagine the park’s amenities while maintaining all of its natural beauty. Then, we put that master plan into action!

Honored with a 2026 Citation Award from AIA South Carolina and a 2025 Merit Award from AIA Greenville, the renovated park features a 10,000-square-foot fixed pier with an ADA-accessible gangway, a 1,300-square-foot canoe and kayak launch, an expanded beach area, new picnic spaces, a great lawn for recreation, upgraded trails, a modernized playground, and improved parking and roadways.

TWO MORE milestones in the books! 🎉

We recently celebrated the opening of The Citadel's brand-new Leadership Reaction Course and the ribbon cutting for the Krause School of Leadership and Ethics.

Within the Leadership Reaction Course, Cadets are required to navigate a variety of obstacles and challenges, reinforcing the importance of working as a team. Our second stop of the day was the Krause School of Leadership and Ethics, which now features a newly expanded and renovated learning center. ADC provided civil engineering, structural engineering, and landscape architecture for both of these projects.

We are proud to help provide the path for the next generation of principled leaders!

Yesterday, ADC Greenville attended the Cleveland Park Zoo Playground and Trail ribbon cutting. Soon celebrating it’s 100th birthday, Cleveland Park is a fixture in Greenville, well-loved and well-used by all of us. The expansion of this section of the Swamp Rabbit Trail, new and improved playground structures for younger and older children, shade, and new shelters offer deeper accessibility and inclusivity for members of our community, allowing more people to love and play in this park.

ADC is honored to have provided civil engineering and landscape architecture services for these improvements to Cleveland Park and thankful to the City of Greenville for their continued investment in parks, playgrounds, trails, and outdoor amenities. We’re proud to have worked alongside Craig Gaulden Davis PBK, Triangle Construction Company, INC., and Carolina Parks and Play, LLC on this project, too!

And don’t worry – ADC tested out the ninja equipment for you. 10/10 would recommend. If you’re over 6ft tall, watch your knees.

The Catawba Bend Preserve in York, SC, is now open! 🌲

Earlier this week, we celebrated with a ribbon cutting for the first phase of this breathtaking 1,900-acre York County park along the Catawba River. With miles of trails, it is the perfect home for cross country races, hiking, and many more outdoor community activities.

We worked alongside Craig Gaulden Davis PBK to design the new entry gate, fee station, restroom building, and parking - the first step in a multi-phase vision for the park. We also created a special design guideline that will shape the park’s future architecture, materials, and landscaping, so Catawba Bend keeps its character as it grows.

Congratulations to York County on this milestone!
