On paper, Lauren is Essex Brownell's Human Resource Specialist, but ask anyone in the office and they'll tell you she's one of the brightest lights on our team.

She puts care into hiring the right people for the right positions, but amidst that still manages to nurture relationships with employees in our corporate office, manufacturing facility, and warehouse.

People like Lauren are exactly why Essex Brownell is so special. She goes above and beyond as an employee, doing her work with precision and gusto. She also goes above and beyond as a coworker, doing all she can to be there when and where people need her.

There’s a lot more to a circuit board than what you see at first glance.

Behind the chips and connections are materials helping manage heat, provide electrical insulation, protect against environmental conditions, control interference, bond components, and more. From thermal interface materials and conformal coatings to tapes, films, adhesives, shielding materials, solder, and wire protection, every material has a job to do.

Essex Brownell is proud to supply those materials and when the application requires more than the standard formats available, we have in-house fabrication facilities to create custom components for the job at hand.

Not all magnet wire is the same, and the differences go well beyond size.

Magnet wire can be made with copper or aluminum conductors and formed into round, square, or shaped profiles. From there, the insulation system is selected based on the demands of the application. That can include Nomex® wrapped constructions and various polymer coatings, each offering different properties and thermal ratings.

Those choices matter when magnet wire becomes part of equipment like transformers and electric motors, where electrical, thermal, and mechanical demands can vary significantly.

What does a sheet of electrical insulation paper become?

Look around, and you’ll find the answer in more places than you might expect.
