HCFIU members are attending a 16 hour seminar this week hosted by the Greater Cincinnati Regional Arson Fire Investigations Seminar. During these 16 hours, investigators are receiving continuing education in ignition source competency, electrical appliances, recovery of homemade explosives and a case study on the I-471 bridge fire.

🎃 With trick-or-treating approaching, let’s keep the scares fun this Halloween!

As families prepare for a night of costumes, candy, and Halloween fun, here are a few simple safety reminders to help keep everyone safe:

• Be seen! Carry a flashlight and wear bright colors or reflective materials.

• Look both ways! Use sidewalks and crosswalks. Walk, don’t run.

• Drivers, slow down! Watch carefully for children at intersections and driveways.

• Prevent fires! Use LED candles instead of open flames in pumpkins and decorations.

🗳️ And don’t forget! Forest Park’s Fire & EMS Levy (Issue 14) is on the ballot Tuesday, November 3. Remember to cast your vote!
