Keep Rollers Clean
Remove dirt, grease buildup, and debris after use to help rollers spin smoothly and prevent unnecessary wear.

Lubricate Bearings & Moving Parts
Apply the proper lubricant to bearings and moving components regularly to reduce friction and prevent rollers from seizing.

Inspect for Damage Before Use
Check for worn bearings, bent frames, loose bolts, or damaged rollers and repair issues immediately to avoid equipment failure.

Follow these steps to get more life out of your knockouts:

Hydraulic fluid:
Check the hydraulic fluid level regularly and top it off with the correct type of fluid when needed. Keep the fluid clean, and replace it if it looks dirty, milky, or contaminated.

Sharpening:
Keep the knockout punch edges sharp so they cut clean holes without extra strain. If the cutting edge gets dull, chipped, or uneven, sharpen it carefully or replace the punch if it’s too worn.

Draw stud threads:
Keep the draw stud threads clean and lightly lubricated before use. Check for stripped, bent, or worn threads, and replace the draw stud if it doesn’t thread smoothly.

Congrats to our first Team Member of the Month, Aaron Bunzendahl!

Our Warehouse Manager, Aaron, has been with Contractors Choice for 24 years. One fun fact about Aaron is that he will always keep you on your toes!

His favorite part of the job is the coworkers and customers he talks to every day, and his favorite item we carry is anything that has to do with pulling equipment.

He believes that any day on this side of the dirt is a good day!

↪️Clean after each use.
Wipe down the machine, rollers, and surrounding area to remove metal shavings and dirt.

↪️Inspect and lubricate regularly
Check the rollers, shafts, guards, cords, and bolts for wear. Lubricate moving parts to manufacturer specs.

↪️Store and operate properly
Avoid overloading the machine and set for the correct pipe size / material. Make sure to store in a dry and secure space.
