From concept to reality! WALTEK is pleased to present the glass enclosed, color changing, “Teen Program Room” at the Hamilton East Public Library in Fishers, Indiana.

WALTEK utilized our CladTek Cablenet support structure consisting of sixty-four one-inch diameter braided stainless steel cables that were tensioned between the ground floor and the roof structure to create this eye-catching conical shape and design.
Each cable required a 5,000-pound tension load to suspend the custom patterned glass and stainless-steel point supported fittings. Three colors, fifty-nine unique patterns, and 336 pieces of custom radiused/laminated glass were created for this project. In addition, the entire glass structure can change colors via LED backlighting for special events, holidays, or just for fun! The “Teen Program Room” acts as a meeting space and an ornamental feature within the library that also encloses the building mechanicals at the ground floor.

We are excited to continue our relationship with AL. Neyer development on their newest luxury apartment building The Hayden in Northern Kentucky.

When complete the building will add 133 new luxury apartments and ground floor retail space with breathtaking views of Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky.

IUPUI - Multidisciplinary Research and Classroom Building
Indianapolis, IN

WALTEK completed this project in the Spring of 2021 for our friends at F.A. Wilhelm Construction. It's a beautiful addition to IUPUI's main campus in Indianapolis, Indiana. This is the second project WALTEK has completed for the University in the past five years.

WALTEK Products: 7000-CHS Unitized Curtain Wall with ornamental vertical sunshades, Interior Storefronts, and aluminum swing doors.

ShelbyHurst 435 Office Building
Louisville, KY

ShelbyHurst 435 is the fourth "Spec." office building WALTEK has completed for the NTS Development Company in the last ten years. 435 is located in Louisville, Kentucky in the same development as previously completed ShelbyHurst 600, 700, and 805. All four buildings are Class-A office space.

WALTEK Products: 7000-Umax thermally improved Curtain Wall, PanTek (dry-joint) Plate Panels, TVS All-Glass Entrance Systems, and aluminum swing doors.

WALTEK is honored to be a part of this iconic project to resurrect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe's 1952 vision for a building on the campus of Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana.

WALTEK's custom steel and glass window system was able to achieve the desired look of a period specific 1950's Mies van der Rohe building with the added advantage of low-iron insulated glass and additional concealed lines of defense for air and water performance.

This one of a kind project is unlike anything being built in the country currently.
