Interstate recently completed a full entrance redesign from start to finish at the Shutterfly building in Eden Prairie. The old retaining wall and walkway system deteriorated over time was ready for a big transformation.

We excavated the area and removed the concrete sidewalks, caps, and retaining walls, which extended more than 6 feet below grade. Once the existing structure was removed, the area was backfilled and regraded with new soil before being finished with fresh sod and landscaping this spring.

Interstate recently completed improvements along Guider Drive in Woodbury for Metro Transit, including a 2-inch mill and overlay, new concrete curb and gutter, and fresh pavement striping to alleviate speed bumps at the pedestrian crossing.

With work taking place along an active roadway, traffic control and safety were an important part of the project from start to finish. Our crews coordinated closely with the city to keep traffic moving and maintain a safe environment for our team, pedestrians, and the surrounding community.

Not all work happens where you can see it.

Our crews recently completed a fire hydrant replacement project, helping ensure critical site infrastructure is in place and ready when it’s needed.

Fire hydrants are an important part of a property’s emergency infrastructure, and replacing aging or damaged hydrants requires careful excavation, installation, and restoration.

From the work below ground to the finished surface, it’s another example of the work that helps keep commercial properties operating safely and reliably.

A busy summer at Boston Scientific Maple Grove.

This summer, our Interstate Companies crews completed a range of pavement improvement work across the campus, including concrete sidewalk replacements, mill and overlay, and pavement striping.

Projects like these take coordination and careful planning, especially on an active commercial property where access and day-to-day operations still need to continue.

Summer at Interstate Companies has been about more than getting projects across the finish line. It’s also been about getting our team together, getting out in the community, and making time for the people we work with.

We kicked off the summer with a team boat cruise on the St. Croix River, giving everyone a chance to step away from the day-to-day, spend some time together, and start the season on a high note.

From there, our team spent plenty of time out in the community, sponsoring and participating in golf tournaments. These events gave us the opportunity to connect with customers face to face outside of the office, catch up with familiar faces, and meet plenty of new ones along the way.

We’re grateful for a summer filled with good conversations, new connections, and time spent with the people who make our work possible.

A pavement project is about more than a fresh layer of asphalt. It’s about improving the safety, accessibility, and long-term performance of a commercial property.

This summer, we completed pavement improvements at Lafayette Park in St. Paul, starting with ADA corrections throughout the property, followed by a fresh mill and overlay. Once the new pavement was in place, our team completed striping to clearly define parking areas and improve traffic flow throughout the site.

The project addressed deteriorated pavement while also improving traffic markings and bringing key areas into better alignment with current accessibility requirements.

For commercial properties, combining these improvements into one project can help minimize disruptions while addressing multiple pavement and site needs at once.

Valid Class A CDL
Clean driving record
Someone dependable who shows up ready to work

Pay: $30 to $35 per hour, depending on experience

The 2026 Interstate Invitational is officially in the books!

This year’s Masters-themed tournament brought together our clients, partners, friends and family for a great day on the course while supporting Children's Cancer Research Funds amazing mission to fight childhood cancer. From the green jacket to our signature Azalea drink that quickly became a crowd favorite, every detail made the day one to remember.

Out with the worn surface, in with long-term performance.

This mill and overlay at Woodbury Lakes removed the top layer of deteriorated asphalt and replaced it with a fresh, smooth surface. Milling corrects surface imperfections and drainage issues, while the new overlay restores strength, ride quality, and curb appeal without the cost of full reconstruction.

Completed with careful phasing to keep traffic moving and minimize disruption to tenants and shoppers.
