Cass County Electric Cooperative (CCEC) is located in the heart of the Red River Valley and Cass County. CCEC doesn’t have shareholders or customers: We have members, and we’re not only committed to providing them with reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy, but we’re also passionate about enhancing the quality of life for our more than 55,000 members. As a local business staffed by your fri

ends and neighbors, CCEC is finding new ways to make a difference – beyond delivering electricity. Although we’re local and independent, we’re also part of something bigger: local cooperatives work together to develop new technologies and infrastructure across the country. We’re a driving force in helping attract and grow business and industry to our area, and we are active in our EDCs, various Chamber of Commerce and have a business accounts program to help our small and large business members succeed. We’re always looking for new ways to help our members save energy, save money, and take advantage of the more efficient technology that’s changed the way we live. We’re also a great place to work. We’re uniquely positioned to be a force for good in our community. We invest in our employees through ongoing education and training, so we can better serve our members in the places they live, work, and learn. That’s just one of the seven cooperative principles CCEC and all cooperatives follow. To learn about us, visit CassCountyElectric.com.

It’s garage sale season but power poles aren’t bulletin boards. Posting signs can put utility crews at risk and interfere with maintenance work.

Help protect lineworkers by keeping poles free of signs, staples and nails.

Severe weather is possible this week. Are you prepared? ⛈️

Now is a good time to review your emergency plan, charge devices, gather supplies and make sure your family knows what to do if severe weather impacts our area.

As storms move through, remember:
⚡ Have your current mobile phone number on file. Call our office or review your account information online to verify your contact details.
⚡ Never drive near, over or through downed lines
⚡ Use generators outdoors and away from doors and windows
⚡ Monitor outage information through our outage map > https://outage.kwh.com/

A little preparation today can make a big difference when severe weather strikes. If outages occur, our line crews are ready to respond and will work to restore power as quickly as possible when conditions are safe.

Stay safe and stay weather aware!
