Lake Region Drilling recently added a Cat® 306 to their fleet and got hands-on with all of the Ease of Use technology features during startup and training on the jobsite. From delivery to walkthroughs and continued support in the field, our team is there to help customers get comfortable, confident, and ready to work from day one.

After 2 years of classroom learning and hands-on shop experience, these students officially completed the ThinkBIG Program last Friday. We’re excited to welcome them full time to our service departments and watch them grow their careers at Butler Machinery Company. 👏

Big power delivered in Fargo, ND. 💪

This pair of Cat® C18 500 kW generator sets was delivered to the new Border States Electric distribution facility in Fargo, ND, where they’ll provide dependable standby power and help manage peak electrical demand. Paired with a 3000 amp soft loading switchgear system, the setup is built to keep operations running when it matters most.

Another strong power solution successfully delivered by the Fargo Power Systems team.

Chris Boehlke's first compact track loader, a Next Gen at that, is ready to go straight to work! Chris shared that the buying process was smooth from start to finish, and he’s excited to get the tracks dirty and start putting it to use on upcoming projects.

In honor of Game 5 tonight between the Minnesota Wild and Dallas Stars, we wanted to share some highlights from our Game 3 watch party hosted by NHL x CAT.

It was a great opportunity to connect with our customers, enjoy playoff hockey, and build on the strong relationships that drive our business. A highlight of the night was having former NHL alum and 1980 Olympic gold medalist Dave Christian in attendance.

We appreciate those who joined us and look forward to more opportunities to bring our customers together.

🚧 Big News for Butler Machinery 🚧

We’re excited to share that Butler Machinery is planning a new, state-of-the-art facility in Mapleton, North Dakota. This investment is all about one thing: serving our customers better. As equipment continues to grow in size and complexity, we’re building a space designed to keep up with the way you work.

Here’s what’s ahead:
• Expanded service bays built for today’s largest equipment
• Improved yard access for easier in-and-out movement
• Larger parts warehouse for faster turnaround times
• Updated showroom and customer spaces

And to be clear—our Fargo location isn’t going away. It will continue to operate as a Butler Machinery facility, with more details to come on its future role.

We’re targeting a 2027 opening and will share updates along the way as this project comes to life.

This isn’t just a new building. It’s a long-term commitment to our customers, our team, and the communities we serve.
