What trends are shaping the future of manufacturing? We caught up with industry professionals at PACK EXPO to hear their perspectives on emerging trends, evolving needs, and what’s ahead.

From navigating change to planning for future growth, these conversations offered a glimpse into the priorities shaping manufacturing today. Attendees also had the opportunity to engage with The Canvas, a first-of-its-kind piece of custom automation, while exchanging ideas and connecting with professionals across the industry.

And while PACK EXPO may be over, The Canvas isn’t done yet. Keep an eye out for it at conferences this spring!

"We've been working in and building relationships across Central Texas for some time. Opening the Georgetown office is the next step in our commitment to the region," said Jody Budde who leads teams throughout the region.

A heartfelt thank you to the Georgetown community for the warm welcome, conversations, and connections over the past year, and to the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce for helping us celebrate.

Opening this office means bringing more experience, resources, and technical capabilities closer to the clients and communities we serve in Central Texas.

But we’re not here simply to add a pin to the map. We’re here to put down roots: building relationships, learning what matters locally, investing in the community, and finding ways our experience can make a difference.

We’re grateful to be here, proud to call you home, and excited for all that lies ahead.

Congratulations to Coastal Engineer Brennan Banks who was recently recognized as one of ASBPA American Shore and Beach Preservation Association 100 Coastal Heroes!

As part of ASBPA’s 100th anniversary celebration, the recognition highlights members of the coastal community who have contributed to the organization’s work and mission. Through years of involvement with ASBPA, including serving as president of the Students & New Professionals chapter, Brennan has built a strong connection to the organization and the broader coastal community.

Congratulations to Kevin Bodge, PhD, PE, recipient of the 2026 Bob Dean Coastal Research Award.

Named for one of coastal engineering's most influential figures and Kevin's longtime mentor, the award recognizes outstanding research that advances beach management and coastal resilience.

Throughout a career spanning more than four decades, Kevin has helped shape the profession through pioneering research, practical innovation, technical leadership, and a commitment to mentoring future generations of engineers. His work has improved how communities understand, protect, and manage coastlines while translating complex science into real-world solutions.

In his article, Kevin reflects on the experiences, mentors, and lessons that shaped his journey from student to steward of the coast. It's a story about curiosity, fieldwork, lifelong learning, and the responsibility engineers have to leave both the profession and the shoreline better than they found them.

When infrastructure improvements and environmental responsibility go hand in hand, the results get noticed. The Leonard's Wharf Rehabilitation & Extension Project was honored with the 2026 WEDA Environmental Excellence Award! 🏆

Working alongside our partner, Port of New Bedford this critical waterfront asset was transformed through bulkhead rehabilitation, wharf expansion, environmental remediation, and beneficial reuse of dredged material. The result is a stronger harbor that supports the long-term health of New Bedford Harbor.
