How to identify and replace the u-bolt.

A u-bolt is a metal, u-shaped component that plays an important role in spring retractable reels by acting as a strain relief for the swivel assembly. When it’s installed correctly in the designated holes and aligned with the guide arm, it helps prevent accidental latch-out. To replace the u-bolt, use our u-bolt kit and follow the step-by-step instructions.
